- LEET / KNOX
- Harold Charles Knox LEET, born about 1852, and his wife
Margaretta Elizabeth, born about 1864, are both thought
to have died in Canada. Their REAL name was LEET, but
they may have choosen to become KNOX-LEET. This is the
same family as the Maj General William KNOX LEET, VC.
William's father was a clergyman who became attracted to
Miss Sarah KNOX of Moyne Abbey. The deal was that Sarah's
father would buy Edward LEET (who later called himself
Edward St. Patrick Leet) a living if he would refix the
surname of all issue with KNOX. He did this and it seems
to have carried on.

- ROWAN / MOORE / MORIN / HOGAN - Searching for
Relatives For Medical Reasons
- We are searching for any siblings of Louisa Moore Rowan
(Rowan may be spelled differently), born 1886 possibly in
Rolphton, Buchanan or Wylie Township. She was the
daughter of John Moore and Mary Morin and wife of James
Rowan, born 1887, son of John Rowan and Emma Hogan. Some
of Louisa Moore's family are David, Mabel, Hattie, Emma,
John and Edward. Louisa Moore and James Rowan married in
1905 at the church of the Epiphany in Sudbury. They had
two daughters -- Gladys Emma in June or July 1905, who
left the area as a child and Mabel Harriet born May 5,
1907. We are searching for any of the above and Gladys,
if she was married and any surviving children she may
have had. This search is being conducted for medical
reasons, and anyone with information is asked to contact
Jim Moore.
